Google Maps
We Do Google Maps...You may be thinking what's the big deal with Google Maps, well let us explain the benefits of having this on your website, if your business requires that potential customers find you on location then you'll probably want some kind of map on your site which lets customers know of your businesses whereabouts. In the majority of cases, business owners will simply put some crude image on their site like this to the right.
Now to the business owner this seems to be an adequate amount of information for the customer to use but this is simply not enough information, the business owner makes the classic mistake of assuming that the potential customer knows the area on the Map, ie they'd know how to get to the Dublin Road in the first place, but what if this customer is from a different county, can you see the drawback here.
Now if we look at the second example below, our business owner has ditched the static map and gone for a Google Map instead, a wise choice but still not providing maximum information as will be explained.

Our Google Map which is much prettier provides the potential customer with a means of figuring out the journey by using the scrolling and zooming functionalities, although this is a major improvement on the former, figuring out directions can become quite cumbersome and tedious when the customer is trying to map their journey from out of town to an area they are not familiar with, although you can print out the map and pencil along the roads you can still make the common mistake of penciling the wrong way down a one-way street, do this and again our customer is lost.
